Dearest Love,
We have been celebrating Valentine’s day together for more than a decade now, yet I feel I haven’t run out of things to say to you. I haven’t told you enough how much I love you so let me tell you again and again in my own ways.
I Love You.
I want to tell you that there is nothing compared to the feeling when we are together, whenever or wherever we are. Yes we fight, and fight badly, and I am sure we are going to fight every now and then but those instances are nothing compared to the good times we had and the good things we do together. I know that you will always be there for me, and I will always be there for you no matter how many times you send me away. I know that we will never be apart for more than a day without missing each other and looking for the company we give each other. It always makes me feel good that together, we can overcome any challenge no matter big or small, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything else. I want to feel that for the rest of my days. I hope you feel the same way too.

You might not believe it all the time but you know what? There’s absolutely no place I would rather be than beside you. I do not sleep well whenever I am away because sleeping next to you, with your hand clasp on mine, is the best I could ever imagine. Even the worst nights are the best because I know that when I wake up, you are there beside me. No matter how badly my day would end, I know that it will always get better once I lay my back on the bed with you. Corny as it sounds but it is really my happy place.

I hate the feeling of going away without you, no matter how near or far. Whether it’s work or fun, I wish we could always ride the car together, or walk together, or bike together. There’s a deep sense of security, calmness, and happiness I feel whenever we are alone together. I have already told you this but I do not notice the passing of time when we are out there talking to each other especially during long drives. I want you and I need you by my side, holding my hand and just being my world, my universe.

When I am alone, I sometimes find myself looking at our pictures together and reliving all the great times we had. And I can’t help but smile whenever I remember the story behind those pictures, how exactly you looked, and how exactly you talked or felt. I think of you all the time no matter where I am. But I think of you more whenever I see nice things, eat good food, or meet people that I know you would love to meet. I can’t help but say to myself “sana nandito ka para matikman mo ‘to…sana nakita mo to kasi alam ko gusto mo ‘to”… I know that you feel the same way whenever we are apart because you know very well what I like or love, what I desire, and what I want or need. Indeed, you are an amazing, smart, and wonderful woman. I am lucky to have you as my co-pilot. You are my navigator, my guide, my compass, my direction.

I might not be able to tell you, or make you feel that I really I love you all the time, but deep inside my heart, to the core of my bones, and the fiber of my being, I do love you. You inspire me to become a better person, a better man, a better Dad, and better husband each day. You drive me to become better at what I do because you believe in me and my abilities, and you know I haven’t peaked yet. You know that I can always do better and beat myself, and be the best at what I do. Thank you for being my one true inspiration- You and Ruthie. I don’t deserve you- your goodness, your patience, your support, your love and care, but I am glad we have one another. Thank you so much.
